There are plenty of incredible restaurants in the Cooperstown area if you have an unlimited budget, but there are plenty of options for good food if you're visiting this quaint baseball loving village on a budget. Within a few blocks of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, you'll find ballpark food, sandwich shops, and even a couple of affordable Italian restaurants.
Ballpark food
Back Alley Grille: This restaurant is situated in alley across the street from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. You'll find excellent food like the French Dip sandwich as well as a fun western atmosphere at this restaurant.
Pioneer Patio: Grab a bite and bratwurst on the patio during the gorgeous summers in Cooperstown at the Pioneer Patio. It specializes in ballpark food with a German twist.
Baseball Hall Of Fame Store
Doubleday Cafe: With a solid local craft beer selection and good food, Doubleday Cafe is a splendid place to grab a cold one and a quick bite to eat. The sandwiches are big and the prices affordable.
All American Cafe: Sitting next to the American Baseball Wax Museum, it features a small menu full of ballpark standards. It's an outdoor venue, but even if rains, it's completely under cover.
Italian
Sal's Pizzeria: With lots of outdoor space to eat in Cooperstown, grabbing a pizza from Sal's Pizzeria is always an option when tables are scarce at other eateries.
Nicolettas Italian Cafe: This restaurant features affordable Italian dining in a romantic atmosphere if you're headed to the Hall of Fame on a date.
Casual Dining
Mel's at 22: The menu is extensive and contains some very high-priced items. However, if you're looking for a simple burger or sandwich prices are very reasonable, usually in the single digits.
Quick Bites
Cooperstown Diner: The Diner brags how it has the biggest burgers for the smallest diner. You won't be disappointed by the enormity of the burger or the size of the diner.
The Depot Deli: There's nothing flashy about The Depot Deli, but it delivers quality sandwiches, quickly. If you don't want to waste time grabbing a bite to eat, The Depot Deli is the best option for good food that's fast.
